Silent Hill 3 is a masterpiece of, not only survival horror, but of music, art, and visual design.
There's a distinct 'grunge' saturating and
permeating every inch of the world. First ushered in by the iconic distorted screeching of electric guitars
that feature in much of the game's soundtrack. Visually the game is a treat in a variety of ways, both for
its disgusting and dread filled monster designs and for its loving crafted environments. Environments that reflect
as much about the characters as about the time period of when the game was released. The game's protagonist,
Heather* (iykyk) -- whose initial appearance within an abandoned y2k shopping mall sporting corduroy and
undyed roots immediately sells the whole 'rebellious American teen' motif -- is at the core of everything
that makes SH3 great. Anyway, here's a collection of random SH3 related nonsense I think is cool. Enjoy!
